Welcome to the Sunshine state! I have taken a job at Thousand Pines Camp in Southern California as the Media Coordinator.
I started a month ago and am planning on being here for a time of seasonal semi-permanence. However, i am very open and willing to travel for gigs, reunions, vegas trips, midnight rendezvous- uh, I mean, fun fellowshipin' times with family, friends, and food! More soon!- Ben
Please come to either of the off to the west coast parties that you wish. I'd love to see you before I leave. :-)
I can't remember the last time i finished a book. Well, now i can! April 15, 2009 marks the completion of "Velvet Elvis" by Rob Bell. Only took me 8 months! Thanks for those who recommended it, thanks Alizard for letting me borrow it. It was a grand read, with great insight into- and fresh perspectives on Christianity.
Woo Hoo! 2 books down! "Holes" (Louis Sachar) and "Velvet Elvis" (Rob Bell)

March 27, 2009 marked the premier of the independent film, C Me Dance. The film should be released to select theaters nationwide on April 3rd.
Go support indy filmmaking! *What do you think this film says about Christianity?* Look for my credit at the end of the film, 2nd Assistant Director. *Let me know if you can find it!*
Hope all are well!

Merry Christmas Jamboree! Have a happy holiday. Also, i am planning to begin the recording of my new demo cd before Christmas. Hope all is well. The jingle bells didn't show up for the music video shoot- so the spoon stood in. Phew!

If you are on the PA turnpike in the coming months- look out for the Steel City Flyer- which may be barreling through with this logo on the side of the bus.
I did this logo for the New Busline, let's hope this thing takes off ;)
On the job! I am working a few weeks with a Canadian company putting on assemblies for children K-8 about Anti-Bullying. It is called the Power of One.
I had training in Toronto last week and it was a lot of fun. Although- they drive a bit nutty up there... The city was very clean and cool.
Hope all are well. Check out the other things going on too!

it has been a blast so far- i have been making the daily call sheets, calling lots of folks to make sure they are here when we need them, driving out-of-towners around town, and coordinating background action/extras. I will keep you posted. :)

This place is a dream. I have found myself in a paradise. Pretty much one of the most perfect places on earth. So far, in the three days i have been here i have:
- Pet a Bat Ray! (like a stingray- but way cooler) The thing swims like a bird flies- its really amazing. these were at the Monterey Bay Aquarium (the stingers were removed... don't just go petting wild ones- you NUT!)
- Sea kayaked within 10 feet of seals sunbathing on rocks, sea lions barking like a pack of dogs, and my favourite, Sea Otters diving into the kelp and surfacing with hardshell crabs and crunching them apart to eat. Insane.
- Climbed the mountain in Garrapata State Park and over streams, through the Redwoods to a 1500' peak that looked out at a vast fog from the ocean.
And don't forget every day and night on the beach with a guitar and the stars. This is creation shining. Brighter that i may have ever seen. ah... Saturday I shove south to LA- for a job interview, so really i guess this is just a big business trip.
;)

Here is a snippet of American Guys. I am editing it together, and finishing the final edits in August. I am hoping to submit it to the Three Rivers Film Festival early september. Hope all are well!
Anywho, hope everyone is well. I am finishing up my summer education position at PCTV, and am getting excited for the next step in the EXCITING journey of LIFE!
-benBen auditioned for Forgotten Pictures' new production of a 13 Episode television show called "The Zombies". Filming starts in August in the Pittsburgh area. "The show will be shot in Black & White segments paying homage to the original Munsters and Addams Family Television Shows with the sketch comedy styling of The Kids in the Hall...but with Zombies!"
***REVISION- due to scheduling issues, this will NOT be happening. Whoops!
